A Platinum-Plus Learning Environment Designed by TDC
TDC is designing an International Board (IB) School in Koregaon Park, Pune, envisioned as a forward-looking academic campus that blends sustainability, spatial clarity, and symbolic architecture to shape a progressive learning environment.
The school is planned as a Platinum-Plus rated development, reflecting strong environmental responsibility and long-term operational efficiency. A distinctive semi-sheltered campus concept forms the backbone of the design—creating protected yet open learning zones that respond to climate, comfort, and student interaction.
Material expression plays a key role in shaping the campus identity. The use of terracotta, glass, vertical fins, and layered terraces creates a balanced architectural language—warm, contemporary, and deeply contextual. Carefully curated colours are introduced as symbolic expressions of youth, energy, and creativity, making the campus visually engaging and emotionally connected to its students.
One of the most critical planning strengths lies in its circulation strategy—with a well-structured system that ensures clear segregation of school buses, pedestrian movement, and service access, prioritizing safety and operational efficiency.
Through TDC-PUNE and the design philosophy of TDC- ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN, the campus is envisioned as more than a school building—it is a learning ecosystem where architecture supports growth, movement, and exploration.
This IB School at Koregaon Park stands as a refined example of how institutional design can be sustainable, functional, and inspiring—shaping young minds through thoughtfully crafted spaces.
